The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA, formerly known as the Defense Communications Agency) is a combat support agency of the United States Department of Defense (DoD) responsible for planning, developing, fielding, operating, and supporting command, control, communications, and information systems that serve the needs of the President, the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Combatant commanders, and other Department of Defense components under all conditions of peace and war.

If US military personnel are eating it, wearing it, using it, driving it, or burning it, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is likely supplying it. The Department of Defense's largest combat support agency, the DLA provides logistics support to US military, civilian agencies, and foreign countries for peace and wartime operations, as well as emergency preparedness and humanitarian missions. With some 21,000 military and civilian employees working in 48 states and 28 countries, the DLA supplies almost every consumable item the US military needs such as food, clothing, protective gear, medical supplies, construction materials, and fuel. It also supplies 95% of repair parts for aircraft, tanks, and other weapons.

The Army Research Laboratory (ARL) is the Army’s corporate basic and applied research laboratory. Their mission is to provide innovative science, technology, and analysis to enable full-spectrum operations. ARL consists of the Army Research Office (ARO) and six Directorates-- Weapons and Materials, Sensors and Electron Devices, Human Research and Engineering, Computational and Information Sciences, Vehicle Technology, and Survivability and Lethality Analysis. The Army relies on this ARL Team for scientific discoveries, technologic advances, and analyses to provide warfighters with capabilities to succeed on the battlefield.
